Sixth Form Curriculum Booklet

The Sixth Form at Bancroft’s is a vibrant, intellectually stimulating and friendly place which benefits from the school’s excellent facilities.  The school has a strong academic record at A Level: 90% A*/A/B grades at A Level in 2011 and offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities to pupils, allowing them to develop outstanding interpersonal skills as well as achieving excellent examination results.

Entry Requirements

Entry to the Sixth Form is on the basis of performance in an entrance exam and at interview. The exam for entrance in September 2013 will take place on the morning of Saturday 17 November 2012. Offers will be made in December 2012..

Pupils joining our Sixth Form will need to be academically capable and hardworking; they will also need a firm foundation of success at GCSE.  In practice they should expect to gain a significant number of A or A* grades.  Pupils now normally take four AS Level subjects; it is possible with certain combinations of subjects to take five AS Levels (please refer to the Sixth Form Curriculum Booklet).

We are looking for students who are likely to achieve a minimum of six A grades at GCSE, and in the subjects they wish to study at AS Level, and who will be academically and socially able to make the most of being in our Sixth Form.
