COVID-19 Safety Measures

The safety of our pupils and staff is of paramount importance during this challenging period.  It is important that everyone follows our guidelines to make sure we all stay as safe as possible,  We review our measures continually and it may be necessary to adapt and change them at short notice in respsonse to government guidelines regarding Covid-19 and our own situation at Bancroft's.

Guidelines for Parents for Remote Education, Spring Term 2021

Covid Risk Assessement

During this period of restrictions, lockdown and social distancing due to Covid-19, we will continue to prioritise pupils’ academic performance across the curriculum and ensure pupils receive a varied overall educational experience.

Following the change in Government  guidelines on May 17 regarding face coverings, we have reviewed our own safety measures and will be revising our rules as below:

  • Pupils will no longer be required to wear face coverings in all lessons. There may be some teachers requesting face covering to be worn – pupils should respectfully comply in these cases
  • Pupils and Staff will be expected to wear face coverings in congested communal areas where social distancing is not possible. This will apply to corridors between the hours of 8.15am and 4.15pm
  • Sixth Formers are expected to wear face coverings in the Sixth Form common room
  • Pupils will not need to wear face coverings in their assessments or internal examinations in the sports hall
  • Pupils are expected to follow government guidance on the wearing of face coverings on public transport and on school transport
