Top Grades Shape A Level Success
8am sharp, browsers refreshed and results revealed. The wait was over for the Class of 2025, and the numbers tell a story worth celebrating.
This year, 40% of grades were awarded A* – the product of sustained effort, a commitment to scholarship and a willingness to aim high.
75% of all grades were awarded A*-A and 93% of papers were graded A*-B, together underlining the strength and hard work of this cohort.
One in five students achieved three or more A*s with ten students joining Oxford or Cambridge and eight set to study Medicine.
Our leavers will attend leading universities including Imperial College London, the London School of Economics, the University of Bristol, the University of St Andrews, and the University of Edinburgh taking courses ranging from Engineering, Law and Economics to Fine Art, History and Veterinary Medicine.
Reflecting on the success, Alex Frazer, Head of Bancroft’s, commented:
“It’s a wonderful day for our 2025 Leavers and I am extremely proud of them. They have achieved so highly whilst also embracing the wide array of co-curricular activities that we offer. They are true Bancroftians and I wish them all every happiness and success in their next adventures.”

They now step confidently into the next stage of their journey, ready to make meaningful contributions to universities, industries, and communities across the country.”
