The Curriculum
High academic standards lie at the heart of Bancroft's. We offer pupils a natural academic progression from the age of seven up to university entrance. Within this integrated structure there are three main stages of entry at 7+, 11+ and 16+. A small number of pupils may also join us at 13+ (into year 9) when we have capacity within the year group.
Bancroft’s provides a balanced curriculum and we set great store by our ability to develop the talents of pupils in sport, music, drama and a wide range of other activities, whilst promoting their intellectual growth to the full. Our pupils have a wide range of choice and the timetable is flexible, being designed after pupil choices have been made so allowing them freedom of choice.
“The consistently high level of teaching, from Alphas to Sixth Form, has opened countless doors for me, and given me a surplus of options for when I leave Bancroft’s.
The staff at Bancroft’s work well to provide the pupils with the perfect level of assistance, but also try to give us as much independence as possible. This balance has taught me to be more independent, not only in my studies, but also in everyday life, as I prepare for the future.”
