Meet our Sixth Formers – Daniel U6

A Level Subjects:

Economics, History, Politics

Last year I completed my EPQ on “How do Countries that Host the Olympic Games Benefit Socially, Economically and Politically?”

 Degree or Career Aspirations:

I am looking to study History and Global Sustainable Development, hopefully at Warwick University or alternatively look at degree apprenticeships in the finance sector.

 Positions of responsibility:

Head of Sport for West House as well as being a prefect for a junior tutor group, these are roles which I value and enjoy doing.

Co-Curricular Activities:

I’ve developed a vast array of skills from the clubs and activities on offer, I have completed Grade 8 LAMDA speech which helps you to speak confidently in public, I’ve also experienced playing in Bancroft’s sports teams and currently play up front for the first XI football team.

Interests outside of School:

I love to play sport and outside School I play squash, I’ve played for the last 8 years and reached a ranking of 19 in Great Britain last year in the U19 age group. I have represented Essex and the East Region in national tournaments, as well as representing England in tournaments abroad.

How Bancroft’s has supported my academic progress:

I’ve been at Bancrofts since I was 7 years old and throughout my time here the school has always supported my academic progress through the likes of pushing students to do essay competitions and attend lectures outside of school. . Our teachers are always on hand for extra support when needed.

Best things about the Sixth Form:

Finally I would say that the best thing about Sixth Form is the freedom that we get such as being able to choose our own suits and clothing and, of course, the fact that we have our own cafe in the common room.
