The Bancroft’s Family of Schools brings together Bancroft’s, St. Aubyn’s School and Woodford Green Preparatory School: three established schools rooted in the same community in Woodford Green.
Each school remains proudly itself, while pupils, families and staff benefit from the opportunities, expertise and strength that come from working together.
Our schools share strong values and close local connections, but each has its own character, traditions and way of doing things. That individuality matters. It gives families real choice, while creating more opportunities to learn and work together.
Ages 7–18
An academically ambitious school with a lively spirit and a strong sense of community. Pupils are encouraged to make the most of school life, whether that is in the classroom, on stage, on the sports field or through the many opportunities beyond it.

A warm and established prep school where children are known well and encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity and independence. Its close community and broad education give children strong foundations for the years ahead.

A close knit prep school with high academic expectations and a strong family feel. Children are encouraged to enjoy learning, get involved and grow in confidence within a community that knows them well.

For families at St. Aubyn’s and Woodford Green Prep, being part of the Family also creates a new pathway to Bancroft’s Senior School.
Eligible pupils can be considered earlier for a place at 11+, giving families greater clarity as they plan for the next stage of their child’s education.
The pathway sits alongside the usual 11+ admissions process and reflects the closer relationship between our three schools.
It is one of the practical ways in which being part of the Bancroft’s Family can offer families greater choice and continuity.
