A Level Results 2026

Bancroft’s Class of 2026 had plenty to celebrate on results day, with 73% of grades awarded A*–A, including 34% at A*, and 92% awarded A*–B. 

More than half of the year group achieved straight A* and A grades, while an impressive one in six students secured three or more A*s.  

Celebrating alongside students and staff, Alex Frazer, Head of Bancroft’s, commented: 

“I am so pleased about the results achieved by this year-group, being the first cohort I’ve had the honour of seeing right the way through their Sixth Form journey at Bancroft’s. They have been a fantastic bunch of young people to work with – bright, committed and great fun too.

Much is owed to the hard work of the teachers here. Their determination and ambition for all pupils make me very proud.”

What’s next?

Beyond the headline figures, these results are opening doors to an exceptional range of opportunities. Destinations span universities across the UK, leading specialist institutions and degree apprenticeships. 

This includes places on highly competitive courses at Oxford and Cambridge. Bancroftians will study Economics and Management, Computer Science and Materials Science at Oxford, and Medicine, Law and Mathematics at Cambridge.

Across the cohort, twelve students will go on to study Medicine. 

Success also extends across architecture, the arts and engineering. Two Bancroftians have confirmed places at UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture, part of the faculty ranked first in the world for Architecture and the Built Environment. Further destinations include the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and University of the Arts London.

One Bancroftian has secured a place on the Dyson Institute Degree Apprenticeship.
