A Memorable Visitation Day

Continuing our tradition of celebration and ceremony, we reflect on a truly memorable Visitation Day at Bancroft’s this year. This special day was dedicated to honouring and congratulating our leavers, from Prep to Sixth Form.

The day commenced at the Prep School with what was the final Visitation Day for our long-serving Director of Prep Music, Mr Adam Baum. The concert was a delight, featuring stunning solos and choir performances that moved many to tears. The highlight was a fantastic medley from our outstanding production of The Lion King.

The celebrations then moved to the Great Hall for our Valedictory Service. We were honoured to have guests from the Drapers’ Company, including the Master of the Drapers’ Company, Mr Tom Harris, and our Chairman of Governors, Lt Col Sir Andrew Ford.

Their words of wisdom were inspiring, and Mrs Amanda Campbell, our OBA president, delivered a heartfelt speech, encouraging our Sixth Form leavers to make a difference in the world. She reminded them that they will always be welcome back at Bancroft’s to share their experiences and knowledge with future generations.

The day concluded with a wonderful reception, where we shared our Bancroft’s memories. One parent mentioned that this would be their last of four children graduating from the school—a milestone certainly worth celebrating.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this day so special. We wish all our leavers the very best in their future endeavours and look forward to welcoming our Prep family into Year 7 soon!
