A Weekend of Fun at Hindleap Warren
Last weekend, our Thirds embarked on an exciting trip to Hindleap Warren, marking their first trip since joining the Senior School. There were happy faces on Friday morning as they set off for a weekend full of activities and fun.
We couldn’t wait to hear how the trip went!
Hannah took some time to reflect on her experience, mentioning the challenging weather they encountered, but how it did not stop them from making the most of the trip and participating in all the planned activities.
I loved every bit of it, so it is hard to narrow it down!
“My first activity was Wet Obstacles, this was definitely one of my favourites, it was thrilling and fun. We went through pitch black tunnels and then we did a wet and muddy obstacle course.”
The adventure did not stop there. Hannah also shared her experience of the team-building activities.
“Team building was mind-opening, there were a lot of challenges, but we worked them out as a team. Rock climbing was also really enjoyable, we went up a climbing wall and the view from the top was amazing.
Shelter building was incredibly fun, we were taught some simple knots, then we were sent to make our shelters with tarp, one long rope, a few little, strong strings and whatever we could find in the forest.
While we were in the shelters, the teachers and instructors came around and poured water on the shelters while pretending it was windy, not a drop fell on our team, we were one of the only teams that did not get wet.
The teachers then had to choose which shelter they wanted to stay in, we were not that surprised that they chose our team.”
The Thirds were also treated to evening snacks which offered them a comforting end to their action-packed days and the perfect way for bringing everyone together and creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
“We did a campfire on the first day just before we went to bed, and we had scrumptious cookies, hot chocolate, and roasted marshmallows. We sat around the fire and enjoyed our night.”
This trip really helped me make some new friends and it made strong relationships even stronger.
The photos and feedback speak for themselves—our pupils had a fantastic time.
