Bancroft’s U12 Players in National Finals

Six young Bancroftians played for Old Loughts U12 hockey teams in the U12 National Finals at the weekend.  There were 10 teams playing, representing the best clubs from each region; the Old Loughts teams represented the Eastern Region.  The girls’ tournament was particularly closely fought with the Old Loughts team, for which Monica Johal, Chloe Joarder and Ella Day played, finishing as runners-up. Although they were level with the winners, City of York, on both points and goal difference, they had scored one less goal!  The boys (Antony Juffs, Tirion Prole and Dafydd Prole) finished in sixth place.  The future of Bancroft’s hockey looks very encouraging!
