Busking for Philippines Funds

Lunchtime today saw CCF SSI Damien Pascal swop his familiar army uniform and cam cream for the white face and outfit of French mime artist Marcel Marceau.  Together with four of our musicans – Jonny and James Bluff, Ashley Brand and Tom Gant – he entertained staff and pupils as they waited in the lunch queue.  The Bancroft's buskers were collecting to raise money for the millions of  victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philipinnes.  In a single hour, they raised and amazing £1440.  Damien Pascal said, “Thank you to everyone at the School for donating to the Philippines Typhoon Appeal, the support we received was fantastic.  This money is vital: £40 will buy four tarpaulins to provide temporary shelter for the homeless and £60 will buy hygiene kits to prevent the spread of disease.”
