Celebrating Superb A Level Results

Students have been enjoying another year of exemplary results at Bancroft’s, with 74% of A Levels being graded A*–A.

This impressive success is a clear indication of the commitment, perseverance and hard work displayed by this year’s cohort, who have embraced all that Bancroft’s has to offer. 

Highlights include: 

• 92% of results were graded A*-B
• 74% of results were graded A*-A
• 33% of results were graded A*
• Two students were top performers in OCR’s A Level Art and Design
• 15 students received 3 or more A*s

Our leavers are pursuing a variety of paths, with many joining top universities including:

One of our students has earned a full bursary to study voice at the esteemed Royal College of Music, while another has secured a prestigious degree apprenticeship with Kier Group.

Reflections from Our Staff 

Our Head of Sixth Form, Mr Phil Harrison, perfectly captures the pride we feel as a school: 

“I know that the young adults who leave us today will go on to make a hugely positive impact on the world, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.”  

Echoing this sentiment, Deputy Head Academic, Dr Matthew Lim, shared his thoughts on the achievements of our students: 

“I am so proud of our students and staff, whose dedication, sacrifice and perseverance have made this possible. Beyond their results, the values embodied by our students will open doors and opportunities for them to pursue their dreams and realise their potential.” 

Mr Harrison also highlighted the broader significance of these results, reminding us that exam results, offer only a narrow window into a cohort. “They do not capture the spirit of a group or individual; the loyalty, empathy, camaraderie, creativity, and so much more that makes our community so special.” 

Looking Ahead 

As the Sixth Form Common Room refurbishment nears completion and Psychology is introduced to our A Level curriculum, we are committed to enhancing our offering further and providing an exceptional Sixth Form experience.
