From Bancroft’s to the Big Screen

The Bancroft’s Foundation was proud to host an advanced screening of Mr Burton last week, a unique opportunity for our 
community to see the film ahead of its official release.

Mr Burton is co-written and produced by Josh Hyams (Old Bancroftian), whose work includes I Am Ruth, This England, and The Trip. His latest film tells the story of a young Richard Burton and the teacher who helped shape his future, a powerful tribute to the influence of great teaching.

Together, they offered a fascinating insight into their creative careers and reflected on their journeys beyond Bancroft’s, highlighting the lasting impact of their time at the School.
