Mathematicians find the formula for success

The four members of the Bancroft’s team did themselves proud at the UKMT Team Maths Challenge National Final held at the Royal Horticultural Hall on 20 June.  1500 teams from schools all over the UK entered the competition with 96 of them qualifying for the  National Final by either winning their Regional event or by being high scoring runners up.

The Bancroft’s Team were the winners of the Regional Final held at School earlier this year.  The team of Kavin Vijayakumar, Sai Johal, Monika Johal and Ishan Kapur was well placed overall in the Grand Final. In particular they excelled in the UKMT National Poster Competition on the theme of the Golden Ratio.  This was an integral part of the event and the Bancroft’s Team came away as Prizewinners with the Third Place Rosette.   Their poster is to be professionally produced and the  final polished version will adorn the walls of the maths classrooms and corridors in due course!
