Prep in National Netball Finals

Bancroft’s Prep Netball team spent a wet day at Felsted School playing in the Eastern Regional Tournament of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) netball tournament on Thursday 7 March. Solid performances in the Group Stage, in which they played 6 matches, winning 5 and drawing one, left the girls as group winners. They then faced Norwich in the quarter final to win 6-2. Although all four semi- finalists had qualified for the National Finals, they had to play each other in a round robin in wet and cold conditions in order to determine first to fourth places. At this stage, Bancroft’s Prep beat Widford Lodge 2-0, drew with South Lee 2-2 and lost to the home team Felsted 3-4. They finished in overall second place and received the runners-up shield. They now progress to the National Finals which will take place at Roedean School, Brighton on Saturday 16 March.  Good luck!
