Thirty six schools from all around the borough took part in a variety of sports.  Every single member of Prep 2 (year 6) participated in the games.  Prior to the day, the Prep team had already been the runners-up in the Swimming and had come third in the Tag Rugby competition. On the day itself there were successes in several sports. The Prep team were winners in the Netball Tournament, being undefeated throughout the day. In the Hockey Tournament the also came first, beating Woodford Green Prep 5-1 in the final: this was the only goal the team conceded all day and they scored a fantastic 34 goals. Both netball and hockey teams will now represent Redbridge at the London Youth Games later this year. The Prep also got through to the final for the Football Tournament but faced a narrow defeat by Churchfields (1-0) despite dominating the play and hitting the post many times. In the Golf Competition the Prep team finished 7th and was 12th in Sportshall Athletics.</span></p> <p style=”text-align: center;”> <img alt=”Prep success 2″ height=”215″ src=”images/IMG_2375.jpg” style=”margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;” width=”323″ /></p>
