Sensational seasons for U14 and U15 hockey
As the end of the hockey season approaches, the U15, U14 and U13B girls have every reason to be proud of their achievements. All three teams finished their seasons undefeated in their programmes of regular matches.
The U15s started off slowly, with a draw against Queenswood, but the girls soon found their stride and a string of wins followed. Highlights of their season must include a very satisfying 6-1 victory against Chelmsford County High and a 3-2 win against Forest; previous encounters with the Forest team had always ended in draws. In all they have scored 29 goals, and only conceded 6.
A very strong U14 squad have enjoyed 100% success. They have played 9 and won 9, including 7-0 victories against Brentwood and Forest. The girls also have a fantastic goal difference, scoring 36 and conceding merely 5! The Essex County Championships saw more good performances from the U14s; they achieved second place, so reaching the East Regional finals where they finished in very creditable fourth place.
The U13Bs should also be congratulated on their performances. They, too, finish the season with an unbeaten record: played 7, won 7, scored 26 and conceded 6.
