Swimmers Triumph in London Swim League Final

On Monday Feb 26th, Bancroft’s swimmers won the B final of the London Swim League.

Numerous schools participated in qualifying galas across the North of the River region. We placed 12th overall after our qualifying event. 6 schools raced in the A final and we joined Forest, Habs, Latymer, Highgate and Hampton schools in the B final hosted by Highgate.

As the lowest scoring school entering the B final we hoped for personal best swims and perhaps on occasion to beat some of the other schools. However, Bancroft’s performed with excellence and in addition to personal best swims we also scored very well against other schools. We took victory in final event of the evening, the 16-person relay and were delighted to hear we were the highest scoring school of the B final.

Some of our outstanding performances include: Adi’s PB time of 1:11 in 100m FC; Mia’s underwater phase in Breaststroke; and Alex’s fast Breaststroke in spite of losing his goggles.

Congratulations to our Thirds and Removes swimmers who took part.
