Winners in The Week’s Best of the Best 2026

Bancroft’s has been named Best SEND School in The Week Independent Schools Guide’s Best of the Best Senior Schools Awards 2026.

The national award recognises the School’s approach to supporting pupils with SEND and the work of staff across Bancroft’s to ensure pupils receive the support they need to make the most of school life.

While the Learning Support team leads much of this work, SEND provision at Bancroft’s extends across the School, with teachers, pastoral staff and families working together to support pupils as individuals.

Antonia Fryer-Green, Director of Learning Strategy and SENCo, said:

“It means a huge amount to receive this award. It is a direct result of the hard work of staff across the School, the support of our families and the attitude of our pupils. The aim is always to create an inclusive and nurturing environment every single day, and this external recognition is a great endorsement of that.”

Head of Bancroft’s, Alex Frazer, added:

“I’m delighted with the recognition this award brings that even academically capable young people may need additional help with their learning. We are fortunate to have such a thoughtful, well-informed Learning Support Team here at Bancroft’s who have outstanding ambitions for the pupils they work with and give them exceptionally effective care and guidance. I couldn’t be prouder of them

The award follows further recognition for Bancroft’s SEND provision earlier this year, when the School was named a finalist in the Education Choices Awards 2026.

The result will be featured in the Autumn/Winter 2026 edition of The Week Independent Schools Guide.
