Our U13 girls put in a brilliant performance against Forest School to take home the Essex Cup.
After losing the toss, we bowled first, Forest posted 126/7 from their 20 overs. Inaaya and Azra led the bowling attack, backed by strong fielding across the team.
Chasing a tough target, Cordelia laid the foundations with a confident 32 off 22 balls. At 68/2 at the halfway point, Inaaya and Soraya held their nerve, pushed the run rate, and kept us in the game.
Inaaya saw us over the line with a composed 48 not out from 39 balls, victory secured with 3.3 overs to spare.
A fantastic game of cricket, a great team effort, and a well-deserved trophy.
On to nationals next year!
