Betas Going Green

What happens to all the juice and milk cartons we throw away? At Bancroft's Prep the Betas (year 4) learnt to make their own accessories from items we might normally consider to be simply rubbish.

In a series of workshops held on 16 May, linked with our Humanities curriculum, children in all three Beta classes made a useful little notebook from recycled paper and cardboard, plus a stylish and handy wallet from old juice cartons.

Nathaniel from class BSS, said: “The best part was getting to make the notebook using old maps and cardboard. I’ll think a bit harder in future before throwing things away.”

I think the Earthship presentation was very interesting because it’s amazing that you can make nothing into something.
