Christmas Cards Bring Cheer to the Community

Pupils in the Prep School and those in the Thirds have joined forces to design Christmas cards which are being distributed among both our local community and extended school community this Christmas.

Pupils were asked to design a festive card on A4 paper and these were printed onto quality card and delivered by the Sixth Form Heads of Charity to local hospices, residential homes for the elderly while our Prep Charity Ambassadors delivered them to 300 neighbours of the school. One elderly lady was delighted with her card which she knew would be the only one she would receive this year.

In addition, pupils wrote letters which were sent out with the cards to the more elderly members of the Old Bancroftian Association, some of whom are in their nineties, thus forging links between the youngest members of the Bancroft’s community and the very oldest.  We hope that they will enjoy reading our pupils’ news and about how school life this term has been so very, very different from anything they would have experienced.
