Coronavirus Update

Following the Secretary of State for Education's announcement on Wednesday 18 March, Bancroft’s moved to a full remote learning and support model from Monday 23 March.  Bancroft’s remains closed except to essential members of staff and to children from keyworker families. We continued to support these children during the Easter holiday period.

Over the past weeks school has continued in a new fashion. With lessons taking place online and from bedrooms, living rooms and even gardens, the school goes on.  We are working hard to ensure that any educational impact of the coronavirus crisis on our pupils is kept to a minimum.   During this period we will continue to provide support – both academic and and pastoral – as best we can.

Throughout this uncertain period, we will continue to send regular information to parents/guardians about coronavirus related matters thought our usual school/home communication channels.

Thank you for your continued support during this testing period and for all the messages of goodwill we have received from across the Bancroft’s community.

I am confident that the pupils and staff here will learn much from this experience, however bitter it might prove: it is a chance to focus on the most important things in life, such as family, friendship and on the things that we do that give life meaning and purpose. Many in our community are facing enormous challenges in the months to come and I am sure that the school will too.
