Fabulous French tour for band!

On Wednesday, July 20th, members of Bancroft’s School’s Concert  Band and the Bancroft’s Swingers left for Paris, where they would give an exciting series of concerts. The band, a group of pupils ranging in age from 11 to 17, began the tour by performing in various parks throughout the city. The weather was perfect for playing outside and everyone performed to an excellent standard, attracting an enthusiastic crowd of supporters each time. In addition to giving concerts, the group found time to visit some of the sights of the city, including a trip to the top of the Eiffel tower.

The tour finished with a whole day spent at Disneyland Paris, where we had booked a slot on an indoor stage. A downpour of rain arrived just as the concert was due to start, which resulted in a particularly large audience gathering for the final performance! It was a great experience for all of the students involved; the trip was thoroughly enjoyable while also developing our musical skills.
