Love Letters to London Winner

Many congratulations to Lower Sixth pupil Faith C.  She has recently been awarded a first prize in the U18 category of  The London Society’s inaugural “Love Letters to London” writing competition.

This competition aimed “to celebrate London in all its life, charm and mystery”. It invited competitors to write 500 words or a poem to capture why they love London and “what it is about this city that makes your heart beat that little bit faster.”  Faith’s evocative poem “how to warm up cold ears” drew on the many and varied sounds of London which remind her of the diversity and vibrant nature of the city.

Faith was awarded her prize, as well as a plaque, by Mike Stiff of Stiff + Trevillion architects who sponsored the U18 category at a presentation held at the City Centre on 10 March.
