Maths & Chemistry Successes

Very well done to our Senior mathematicians who gained a total of 16 Gold, 26 Silver and 28 Bronze certificates in the recent UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. Congratulations to James Bluff and Francis Clark-Murray who have qualified for the Senior Olympiad.  A Bancroft's team of Kavin Vijayakumar, Francis Clark Murray, Peter Andreev and Viraj Shah competed in the East London heat of the Senior Team Maths Challenge at Queen Mary University.  They finished in a very respectable third place behind Westminster and Dulwich College.

The Bancroft's team of Jamil Haque, Sarina Ramasamy, Daffodil Dhayaa and Ben Norris were successful in the Chemistry Mastermind Quarter Finals.  They will compete in the Essex final round in Chelmsford in December against KEGS, Brentwood and Colchester Royal Grammar.  There were originally 25 teams from the region.  This is the first time for several years that a Bancroft's team have progressed this far in the competition.
