Olympiad successes

Congratulations to Karandeep Nandra (U6E) who has won a Gold Medal in the British Biology Olympiad (BBO) so coming in the top 2.5% of A level Biologists in the country. The BBO is an annual competition for post-16 students which attracts about 1500 entrants from all types of schools.  Karandeep  has been invited to compete for a place in the British team at the International Biology Olympiad which will take place in Korea during July.

Amar Sood (L6E) has been awarded a distinction in the British Informatics Olympiad (BIO); this is an annual competition in computer programming for secondary schools and sixth form colleges.  Entrants are given a series of three tough problems which they have to solve by writing computer programs.  Amar is looking forward to entering the competition again next year: well done on his success this year.
