Record Breaking A Levels
We are enjoying a record breaking A Level year here at Bancroft's! Over a fifth of the year group (25 in total) have acheived 3 A*s or more. 35% of all A2 exams were graded A* with 73% at grades A* or A, and 92% at grades A*-B. These are the School's best ever resutls at A2 - the cumulation of two year's of hard work.
All ten Bancroftians who had been offered places at either Oxford or Cambridge have had their places confirmed. In addition, twenty-one Bancroftians have places to read medicine. Of particular note is Kavin Vijayakumar with a fantastic crop of 5A*s (Latin. Physics and Triple Maths) and a place to read Maths at Christ’s College, Cambridge. Most of our pupils have had places confirmed at either their first choice university or their insurance choice. They are also excelling in the arts with places at RADA, music conservatoires and art school.
It is particularly lovely to see this year group doing so well. They were the first cohort I recruited when I joined Bancroft’s and I have seen them start as nervous 11 year olds and develop into accomplished, confident and hardworking young men and women who have choices as they move onto the next stage of their lives.
