Senior Sports Day 2022

Senior Sports Day 2022 was one to remember. With all restrictions lifted we were back to having a ‘normal’ sports day and despite it being the hottest day of the year, it was a very successful one!  School umbrellas were used as sun shades and a visiting ice cream van saw long queues once the events were over.

Following remote events (2020) and year group only events (2021), this year’s events took place at school. Field events – javelin, high jump. discus, shot and standing jump – took place throughout the morning and the track events were watched by the whole school in the afternoon. All staff and pupils were involved, cheers were heard from all over the field, house flags were waved and records were broken! House cups were presented at the end, by Mrs Teece and Mr Marshall. Massive congratulations to East House who won overall.  East took first place in the 3rds, Removes and Lower 4ths competitions but in the final tally only four points separated East from second place School!

Well done to all those who competed and also to the sports staff for organising a very successful day.
