Sports Information for Thirds

Games lessons for Thirds are on Friday afternoons.

We are fortunate to have excellent indoor and outdoor facilities as well as the use of Old Loughtonians Hockey Centre. This allows us to give all pupils a good grounding in many team and individual sports.

Squads and Fixtures

Squads for all the major sports are selected at the start of the appropriate term; however, pupils are often added to squads as they make progress in lessons. It is seen as an honour to be selected to represent the School. This involves a strong commitment from the pupils to attend training and matches during the week and on Saturdays. If for any reason this is not possible (e.g. a family wedding, etc) a letter of explanation is required from the parents, at least two weeks in advance.

Team lists, together with the arrangements, are always put up during the week prior to the fixture, usually after training, and may also be found on SOCS. (SOCS is our online calendar which parents will have access to once their child starts at the School)
